Its Gotta Be The Name

So as I said in my previous post Sander Kleinenberg was the best at UMF in my opinion. But he wasn't the only Sander. Sander Van Doorn also preformed only hours before him and he also killed it. Its gotta be the name. Sander Van Doorn (born Sander Ketelaars on February 28, 1979 in (Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands) is a Dutch techno/trance music DJ and producer. He is listed at DJMag'ss top 100 djs list, debuting at #13 in 2008, and is currently listed at #10 in the world. Sander hosts an internet radio show every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (1:30 pm - 3:00 pm US Eastern Time) on "Digitally Imported" called Identity. The show is made from 2 studio mixes and sometimes is live. Sander Kleinenberg (born 1971, Delft) is a Dutch disc jockey and record producer. He founded and runs Little Mountain Recordings. Kleinenberg is well known for his use of digital video in concerts and for his "Everybody" brand of club nights and albums. His 2000 single "My Lexicon" is often considered a progressive house standard. On October 28, 2009,DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Record's artist Kleinenberg placed at #70.

Here are some videos of them:

Ultra Music's Finest

So I just returned from Ultra Music Festival (UMF) and could not have been more impressed. I heard some of the best Electronic music I have ever heard, from the big names such as Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Armin Van Buuren, The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, David Guetta. To less known people such as Sander Van Doorm, Green Velvet, Skream, and lastly Sander Kleinenberg who in my opinion was the best of all. Some other excellent performances were Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Swedish House Mafia, and Fake Blood.

Here are some videos from the festival:

The Hood's Remedy

In response to Tuna's post with Remedy by Miike Snow, I bring to The Hood Internet's Remix featuring Shwayze. I love the combination of hip and popular house. It makes you Groove and it definitely makes you move. If they aren't playing this joint yet in clubs it will take over soon. The lyrics are very erotic and will put your girl in the mood for sure ;). Check this track out, put it on at your parties, play it for your girl, NJoy.

If We Don't Do This...

Now, I dont usually listen to a whole lot of indie/folk, but Turin Brakes is not like a lot of other indie artists. With this song, "Sea Change," they really take indie music to a different level that immediately becomes stuck in your head. I love the pulsating beat, ghostly back-up vocals, and sad but intriguing lyrics that pull this multi-part song together. Almost a Paul Simon/Silversun Pickups combination. There is a really neat stop-motion video that goes with the song involving war scenes using tiny army figurines. A great experience all around.

Finally all sorts of musical backgrounds are collaborating and combining in this new age of technology and we are now privileged enough to have such tracks as this. A fairly new artist Miike Snow, a pop/indie/electro group out of Sweden, recently drew my attention with is upbeat keyboard riffs and soft but full voice. Their entire first and only album titled Miike Snow sounds like nothing I've ever experienced before in the music world. Many of their songs are known to be in remixes with rappers and DJ's alike, as is this one. In collaboration with a long time favorite of mine and Big Bear's that go by the name of the Crookers, Miike snow presents a hit of his entitled "In Search of." The song is titled "Remedy" and has a really sweet video included courtesy of youtube (as usual). Njoy

"......"

Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe (Music Video) from Saman Keshavarz on Vimeo.

This music video is from Cinnamon Chasers, an electronic/dance music group created by Russ Davies, a tripped out british musician and philosopher. When I watched this music video for the song "Luv Deluxe," the orgasmic infusion of the soothing yet exhilarating house beat and the eye popping, jaw dropping story montage on screen had my drooling on my keyboard and halfway off my chair. I was literally left speechless and staring. great song, great movie. please watch, you won't be disappointed.

I'm Back

Hey guys so I wanted to apologize for disappearing for a while. I took some time off to find the illest tracks out there. Props to Tuna for keeping the blog going while I was gone. So today I bring you a hot track by one of my favorites, the Bloody Beetroots. If Spiderbait's cover of Black Betty went electro, this is what you would get. This song gets my adrenaline rushing and pumps everyone up. This is definitely one of those songs you jump up and down, pumping your fist, screaming at the top of your lungs. The Beetroots really know how to get a party started, thats for sure. So enjoy this song and make sure you put it on your next party playlist.
